Choosing & Applying for UK Creative Arts Courses

Applying for an undergraduate (B.A) or postgraduate (M.A or PhD) creative course in The UK can be an overwhelming process for international students.

Admission to university courses in The UK is generally dependent upon an individual’s achievement in Level 3 or equivalent qualifications, such as GCE A levels, BTEC (QCF) qualifications, the International Baccalaureate and OCR Cambridge Technicals.  In addition to meeting academic requirements, Art and Design Colleges/ Universities usually require an art portfolio as part of the application process.
The most effective way to apply for undergraduate courses is through UCAS (The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service), a UK-based organisation whose main role is to operate the application process for UK universities. The UCAS system lists university courses on its website and operates an application portal.
